BIBLE VERSE: Psalm 32:4-5
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
1st Prayer: “For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer.” For all those who are groaning under the weight of the heavy hand of correction and discipline of the LORD, entreat the LORD’s mercy upon them. With a gentle hand, may He bring them to the awareness of their errors and bring them into contrition.
2nd Prayer: Paul states, “That which I want to do I do not do, but that which I do not I keep doing; O what a wretched man I am!” Many recognize their transgressions, but struggle with their weaknesses in that sin. Pray the LORD deliver them from the snare, seduction and trap of their transgression, and may the LORD grant them the grace to break free and remain free indeed. As Christ said to the adulterous woman, “Go, and sin no more.” It wasn’t a request; it was a command, the Word Himself leading her, accompanied by Grace. So let it be unto every soul struggling with one sin, weakness or transgression.
3rd Prayer: When the LORD forgives a sinner, it is a spring of water upon a parched land, it is life spoken into dry bones. May the LORD forgive us, may His love remind us of his goodness, may His mercy restore us, and may his friendship bless us and lead us unto salvation
