BIBLE VERSE: Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
1st Prayer: For all those Christians whose zeal, faith, hope, and passion for Christ may be slipping, suffocated by transgression, fruitless expectations, praising God with a broken Halleluiah, pray the LORD for his mercy and love, his forgiveness and long-suffering for all these souls; and more importantly, the grace to enable them rise up from the pit of dejection and depression to return to their former love, knowing that the salvation of the LORD is indeed near.
2nd Prayer: Many have been lulled to sleep by the many cares of this world which have taken pre-eminence in their lives, while others still have been deluded out of the Way by the deceptions and heresies of this world. “Wake up, O sleeper!” the Scripture cries out into these hearts. Pray the LORD rouse us from our sleep, expose all the devices and machinations of the Enemy for what they are and rebuke every spirit, indeed anything, contesting our salvation. That spirit of urgent zeal and worship, placing at the crest the brevity of our time, may the LORD restore in our hearts, bring us into the knowledge of his calling upon us, give us an undivided heart to follow Him in the Way and the spirit to remain in the Way…our eyes ever transfixed upon Salvation.
3rd Prayer: 1 Corinthians 15:31-33
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.” If after the struggles in this world, the trials and tribulations, we are not found partakers in God’s eternal foundation, then we are most miserable of men. For our salvation is nearer than we believe, therefore entreat the LORD that none of us must miss this eternal glory, no matter the earthly cost. Yet, because He is a loving Father, even while we work and wait for the time of our eternal adoption as sons and daughters, may the joy of eternal salvation – the favors, mercy and blessings of God that accompany it – find us even during our sojourn on earth. Amen.
