The Secret of Contentment

BIBLE VERSE: Philippians 4:12
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

1st Prayer: Like the Israelites in the wilderness for forty years, many have grumbled and limited the Hand of God with an ungrateful heart. Pray the LORD forgive, bring them out of the wilderness their grumbling has placed them, and lead them gently to their Promise Land.

2nd Prayer: Out of our disgruntled natures arise envy, jealousy, covetousness, greed, the love of money and the like. Pray the LORD destroy all these vices, save His children from the unrighteous discontent and deliver us all from the various vices that arise from a discontented and disgruntled heart.

3rd Prayer:The Book of Job tells us that if we obey and serve him, we will spend the rest of our days in prosperity and our years in contentment. Pray for the spirit of obedience to God’s will and His command, the humility to accept the position in which he has placed us and the strength and devotion to serve and worship him, that we may spend our years in prosperity and contentment.
